About Me

faithHi! I’m Kristin.

I am a mom with a heart for orphaned and abandoned children. I have been an advocate for children listed with Reece’s Rainbow Adoption Ministry for eight years.

My dearest desire is to adopt a child; specifically, a five year old little girl with Cornelia deLange Syndrome called Faith (see photo).  The truth is, though, that it is a long shot that I will ever get to adopt Faith myself, so I advocate for her on social media, praying that a loving mommy somewhere will fall in love with Faith, as I have, and adopt her. Faith is in one of the baby houses in an Eastern European country near Russia. She is in danger of being transferred to an adult mental institution.(https://reecesrainbow.org/117050/faith) This is the fate that awaits every child in the baby houses who reaches the age of six in her country. It is a heart-breaking fate for a small, disabled child. They are left to fend for themselves, at the mercy of adults and other children bigger than them. The majority of children who get transferred die within one year.

This is why I advocate for her and other children, and pray earnestly for them.

I am also a student pursuing a degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, with the goal of working with children and adults with special needs.

I am originally from the Deep South, but now my husband and children and I live in northwest Utah, out in the desert. Living here probably wouldn’t appeal to a lot people, but I love it.  I do miss the Alabama and Florida beaches, though.
